A Tish Frustrated!

On October 27th you can register for classes at Highland- so trying to be a good student ( I should emphasis trying!!!) I thought I should start to plan for next semester. Well… I emailed my adviser to double check on a few things and to see if I could use journalism as an elective for my degree. He responded back and said that he didn’t think I could and gave me a list of the classes I could choose from. He also put the mandatory classes on there as well. Hmmm… funny thing is that I am currently in an English class, but knew I would have to take another one next semester- not the case. I could have chosen either English, Business or Communications. Business and Communications are one semester courses. I wouldn’t have to take English both semesters- not even one semester!!! I think business might be more important in the Nail Technology field than English. Unless people would like me to write an essay for them about skin and nail physiology?!? Ugh! A tish frustrated!! He told me to come in and see him. I probably will because I really need to know exactly what classes I need so I can hopefully graduate in May!!

Kind of ironic that at the same time this happened- The Highland Chronicle is issuing a poll asking students if they use the academic advisers for college planning or if they plan their schedules themselves. If they asked me that question today- well for their sake they shouldn’t! It’s just so frustrating when you’re trying to get done and get out of there and it comes down to scheduling errors?! It’s my time and my money! Ok- enough said.

I am going to go read my favorite new book- The Miracle Girls- and go to bed! Long day tomorrow :)

Amy.
